Celebrating Volunteerism: Recognizing Outstanding Service in 2024

We have the distinct pleasure of recognizing volunteers' ongoing contributions to our community. The President’s Volunteer Service Award allows us to honor the most remarkable individuals who have gone above and beyond in their commitment to community service. The PVSA celebrates those who have made a significant impact through their dedicated volunteer service to communities and the nation, inspiring others to follow their example. These dedicated volunteers have significantly impacted their communities through their time and efforts, and their achievements deserve to be celebrated.


President’s Volunteer Service Award Gold Level: Emari Hunn

Emari Hunn, Branch Manager, Honolulu, HI, is honored with the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award Gold Level. Emari's commitment to volunteering is genuinely inspiring, having dedicated over 500 hours to various community projects in Honolulu throughout 2024. Her unwavering spirit and passion for helping others exemplify what it means to be a community leader. Whether through mentoring youth, repelling off of a building, or teaching financial literacy to individuals or small businesses, Emari has made an indelible mark on our community, inspiring others to step forward and engage.

President’s Volunteer Service Award Silver Level: Rebecca Curtright, Nancy Salcedo, and Paul Miller

The heart of volunteerism is often found in those who contribute tirelessly. This year, we recognize three outstanding individuals with the President’s Volunteer Service Award Silver Level: Rebecca "Becca" Curtright, Brooke Diegmiller, and Paul Miller. Each of these dedicated volunteers has served over 250 hours in 2024, showcasing their commitment to making a difference.

Becca, Compensation Manager, Indian Wells, CA, has spent countless hours with Shay's Warriors, supporting individuals diagnosed with cancer. She also volunteers with The Bianca Rae Foundation, mentoring local students through community service.

Nancy, Branch Manager in El Centro, CA, has been actively involved in community outreach programs through MANA De Imperial Valley and Soroptimist International of El Centro, helping young women and students through mentorship and education. 

Paul Miller, Senior Managing Director, First Foundation Advisors, dedicates his time to the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission and Momentum, Inc. Paul has influenced many aspects of economic development in Los Angeles by bringing significant sports and entertainment activities to the community. Through Momentum, Paul champions advocacy and comprehensive services for individuals with disabilities.

President’s Volunteer Service Award Bronze Level: Brooke Diegmiller and Hugo Nuno

We are also proud to present Brooke Diegmiller and Hugo Nuno with the President’s Volunteer Service Award Bronze Level, which recognizes volunteers at various engagement levels. Both individuals have shown incredible dedication, completing over 100 hours of volunteer service in 2024.

Brooke, Client Service Manager, Lucerne Valley, CA, champions local educational initiatives through early education and scholarships for graduating seniors.

Hugo, Chief Banking Officer, Irvine, CA, has participated on the Habitat for Humanity of Orange County Board of Directors for over 15 years. Hugo is also the Chairman of the Board for Villa Esperanza, which provides educational services and housing options for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Their contributions play an essential role in building a stronger community and in demonstrating what we can accomplish through acts of service. Their collective efforts demonstrate that every hour of service counts, and together, they have fostered a spirit of teamwork and compassion throughout our community.
