Serving the Community Through Relationship Banking in Naples, FL

At First Foundation Bank, we believe that banking is about more than transactions—it’s about building lasting relationships and investing in the communities we serve. Heather Wertz, Branch Manager of our 5th Avenue location in Naples, Florida, exemplifies this philosophy through her leadership and dedication to community engagement. Her efforts help keep banking personal and strengthen the foundation of the local community. For these reasons, we are proud to recognize Heather as our Volunteer of the Month.

Heather began her career as a teller at First Florida Integrity Bank, and through consistent dedication and leadership, advanced into her current role. Throughout her career progression, her unwavering focus has remained on serving others.

“The best part of my job is the people,” Heather shares. “My coworkers, my clients—everyone I work with is like family. The community is so close-knit, and that motivates me to do my best for them every day.”

Heather is an active and visible presence within the Naples community. In addition to her role at the branch, she contributes meaningfully through volunteer work and participation in local events.

“Volunteering has been a powerful way to connect with the Naples community,” she says. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be recognized around town for contributing to causes that matter.”

This past April, Heather participated in the Veterans Club of Del Webb Golf Tournament—a cause with personal significance, as both her husband and father-in-law served in the military. As an avid golfer, she regularly takes part in charitable tournaments that combine a personal passion with philanthropic purpose.

“It’s a way to get outside, stay active, and support something meaningful,” she explains. “It brings people together for a good cause—and that’s what community is all about.”

Beyond her support for veteran initiatives, Heather volunteers with Leadership Estero, a student-led nonprofit offering scholarships and leadership opportunities to youth. She is also an active member of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, leveraging her involvement to strengthen local business ties and have an active community presence.

Her Chamber involvement connects her with like-minded professionals and reinforces her commitment to keeping Naples vibrant, engaged, and community-first.

“Giving back gives me purpose,” Heather reflects. “Whether it's volunteering, supporting local initiatives, or being active in the Chamber, these experiences help me grow and connect with people from all walks of life.”

We are grateful for Heather’s leadership, generosity, and energetic presence both inside and outside of the branch. Her example reminds us that community starts with connection – and that every role can help build a brighter future.
