INSIGHTS FROM FIRST FOUNDATION

Volunteer of the Month - Luis Arce, Auburn, CA

Every Friday before heading to work, Luis Arce, a Universal Banker in Auburn, CA, makes a stop, which has become the most significant aspect of his weekly routine. The Boys & Girls Club of Placer County shares a parking lot with our Auburn Branch, and Luis dedicates time each week to helping distribute food donations to local families.

For Luis, this act of service is more than just a weekly commitment – it's a deeply personal endeavor. Growing up in Auburn, he experienced firsthand the support and opportunities the Boys & Girls Club provided. As a child, the organization gave him a safe and welcoming place to go after school while his parents worked. Now, as an adult, he feels a strong sense of gratitude and responsibility to give back to the same organization and community that supported him.

"The Boys & Girls Club was always there for my family," Arce says. "They deserve a lot of recognition for the work they do. It will always be a huge part of my life, and I want to give back to them and my community in any way I can."

Arce began volunteering with the organization in January 2024. His contributions help ensure local families access essential resources, reinforcing the club's mission to support youth and their communities.

“As little as an hour of my time is enough impact to help the Auburn community and the low- and moderate-income families,” Luis shares. “In addition to the satisfaction of organizing and serving food products to families in need, the interaction with these families allows me to connect and be part of the community more.”

Arce started with First Foundation Bank in June 2024, and he continues to build relationships with community members through his role. His commitment to service extends beyond his professional duties, exemplifying the bank's community engagement and support values. First Foundation Bank will donate $100 on his behalf to the Boys & Girls Club of Placer County. Thank you for all that you do, Luis!
