Volunteer of the Month - Virgil Lindsey, Marco Island, FL

At First Foundation Bank, we are proud to spotlight the incredible community service efforts of Virgil Lindsey, our Branch Manager at the Marco Island Branch. Virgil has been named our Volunteer of the Month for his dedication to making a difference beyond the workplace.

Virgil’s involvement with the Marco Island Kiwanis Club illustrates his dedication to the community.  He actively participates in outreach events, mentors youth, and coordinates service projects. Beyond Kiwanis, Virgil is engaged with the Marco Island Chamber and has taught financial literacy classes with the NAACP’s Raise the Bar program.

Inspired by his mother, who instilled in him the value of serving others, Virgil is passionate about being an integral part of the community where he works. He believes, “You can’t expect to take deposits or build a business in a community if you aren’t a part of it. If you want to serve the community, you need to build relationships and show up as a helper.”

In his free time, Virgil referees football games, including state high school football championships providing young athletes with positive experiences that encourage good sportsmanship and personal and team growth. In his 24 years of refereeing, he has seen quite a few athletes and will referee a game for their children. Virgil also enjoys fishing tournaments, making his weekends quite busy, and he racks up a LOT of walking spree steps.

Thank you, Virgil, for your time and talents. Your passion and dedication significantly impact the lives of those you work with. In appreciation of Virgil’s community service, First Foundation Bank will donate to the Marco Island Police Foundation in his name.

Thank you for your community spirit, Virgil!
